Into the Blue
Drawing from the rich tapestry of the Monterey Museum of Art's permanent collection, Into the Blue celebrates the innovative ways painters, sculptors, and photographers have harnessed the power of blue throughout history to evoke mode, inspire awe, and tell stories. From the tranquility of the sea and sky to the depths of human emotion, blue holds very diverse connotations. The harmonious interplay of colors is exquisitely demonstrated in Suda House's Sea and Solace series photographs, where the reflective light and pristine waters evoke an aura of environmental coolness and tranquility. In the creations of Valentin Popov, the convergence of overdressed figures and crystalline waters forms captivating zones of interaction, inviting contemplation on human relationships with natural elements.
