Moving to Big Sur in the 1940s with his life partner Brooks Clement, Emile Norman began to build a life there—from scratch. The space and solitude of the region allowed the couple to build a life, a home, and a studio where Emile's signature inlay work was built into every surface. Emile Norman: Designing Home shows the making of the home, the vibrancy and creativity that filled the home, and evidence of a life intentionally designed.
