Currents: Lyle Gomes
Living with the Horizon
Currents is a gallery space dedicated to recognizing the work of emerging and evolving California artists. Featuring a different artist every two months, Currents presents a range of media, styles, and genres.
This exhibition is a selection of Lyle Gomes' modernist works of photography. His photography captures the viewers' attention with an intimate style that evokes feelings of connection between the viewer and the homes Gomes photographs. His work is refined but easily communicates the lives of the homes that he photographs. The space will also show the continuation of his work with Madeira: An Infinite Horizon, an ode to his ancestral home of Madeira, Portugal.
