Personal Statement
The piece I have chosen is an example of isolation inside a natural world. Most of this past summer I was isolated from almost everything besides nature, as I traveled and lived in the United States National Parks. These images represent the feeling of isolation as something hopeful and calming, rather than as a burden.
La obra que elegí es un ejemplo de aislamiento dentro de la naturaleza. Durante la mayor parte del verano pasado, estuve aislada de todo salvo la naturaleza, ya que viajé y viví en parques nacionales de Estados Unidos. Estas imágenes representan el sentimiento de aislamiento como algo que brinda calma y esperanza, y no como una carga.
