The Monterey Museum of Art is excited to announce that our favorite community fundraising exhibition Miniatures will be held virtually this year! That means even more artists can participate than ever before and all can enjoy the entire Miniatures exhibition from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

Celebrate our local community of artists, all Museum Members, who generously donate original artwork in support of the Museum.  A diverse selection of paintings, photographs, prints, sculpture, and mixed media works will be available to view online. In the interests of the health and safety of our community we will not be holding an in-person exhibition this year.

The Museum is grateful to all the artists participating in Miniatures, enabling the Museum to raise funds to present dynamic exhibitions, conserve collection artworks, develop meaningful educational experiences, and serve broader audiences. The wellbeing of our community, members, and staff is our top priority and we appreciate your patience and flexibility as we continue to offer high quality exhibitions and programs while keeping everyone safe and healthy

Miniatures Drop-Off Begins August 12

Beginning August 12 through September 2 artists can make an appointment to submit their work every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm in the outdoor courtyard adjacent to MMA Pacific Street. The health and safety of our community and staff are our highest priority so no walk-ins will be accepted and all submissions must have a valid MMA membership through December 31, 2020.  In order to reduce on site staff, there will not be an opportunity to renew your membership in person, but your membership will be checked when you make your appointment and you may renew online, over the phone by calling 831.372.5477 x110, or by mailing a check to the Museum. When you arrive at your appointment, please make your way to the courtyard on the side of the building where all submissions will be accepted outdoors while maintaining proper physical distancing and sanitizing all surfaces between submissions.

Mailed submissions will also be accepted this year.  Please fill out the below registration form, make sure your submission follows the rules of entry and mail the form and the artwork to PO Box 1551 Monterey, CA 93942.
