[Monterey, CA]—Enjoy Art After Hours on Thursday, March 19, from 5-7 pm at the Monterey Museum of Art La Mirada at 720 Via Mirada. Art After Hours occurs every third Thursday and offers an opportunity for wine, hors d’oeuvres and conversation. The event takes place this month in the spectacular setting of the La Mirada house and gardens with wine courtesy of Blazer Wilkinson and hors d’oeuvres by Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa. Cash Bar. Admission is Free.
Sip wine in the drawing room while viewing works from the Museum’s permanent collection, or enjoy hors d’oeuvres al fresco in the inviting patio or stroll in the gardens. As a rare treat enjoy the Gouverneur Morris Guest house with murals by Gouverneur Morris, Clifford Wight and Lord Hastings. The galleries reopen Friday, March 27, with an Exhibition Preview of 50/fifty: 50 Gifts for the Next Fifty Years in honor of the Museum’s 50th Anniversary.

The Monterey Museum of Art is devoted to the art of California, photography, contemporary art and Asian art.
