YULETIDE JEWELS: STORIES OF HOLIDAY CELEBRATION
The Listening Place, Reader’s Theatre to Perform at MMA La Mirada
Monterey, CA –The Listening Place, Readers Theatre will present two performances of short stories on Sunday, December 5 and 12, 2010 at 1:30 pm at the Monterey Museum of Art-La Mirada. The true spirit of the holiday season will be invoked by a heartwarming afternoon filled with old-fashioned storytelling of: A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas; Gift of the Magi by O. Henry; A Bum’s Christmas by H.L. Mencken; The Twelve Days of Christmas, author unknown; A Christmas Morning, author unknown; and A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote.
The Listening Place Readers, Neva Hahns, Roo Hornady, Bob Colter, Susan Keenan, Len Perry, and Philip Pearce are veterans of stages throughout the Monterey Peninsula and Salinas. The Listening Place Productions are directed by Linda Hancock. Holiday goodies and coffee will be served during intermission.
The Monterey Museum of Art-La Mirada is located at 720 Via Mirada, Monterey. Admission is free to Monterey Museum of Art members and free for non-members with $5 Museum admission.
