Monterey, Calif. – The Monterey Museum of Art (MMA) invites families to play and participate in art activities in Elkins Park on Saturday, October 1 from 11 am to 2 pm, located at the MMA Pacific Street, 559 Pacific Street, Monterey. There is no charge.
Docents will assist children with the following Victorian, nature-themed art projects: decorating wooden bird houses and treasure boxes, creating leaf rubbings and designing small plaques with seeds and dried beans.
As part of the Museum’s commitment to providing children and families opportunities to learn about and explore the world of art, the Museum also offers in-gallery activities and art projects that may be found online at www.montereyart.org under “Hey Kids.”
The Monterey Museum or Art is open Wednesdays-Saturdays 11am-5 pm, Sundays 1-4 pm. Admission is $10 General, $5 for Students and Military, Free for children twelve and under. For more information visit www.montereyart.org or call 831.372.5477.
