Rayner works in mixed media constructions, often including photographic imagery and in a variety of formats that are often sculptural. Rayner says, “I use all kinds of photographic materials, both my own and found, which I frequently alter or physically manipulate. I integrate these images into some combination of objects (both cast-off and new) —a process that culminates in the formulation of entirely new fabricated-hybrid-objects.

MontereyNOW is an exhibition series presenting local artists who have made significant contributions to the visual arts. This exhibition series is sponsored by Barbara and William Hyland.
