Monterey Peninsula Archives Crawl

IMG_5332The Monterey Museum of Art will be a stop on this inaugural self-guided tour of area archival collections, Saturday, October 13, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Take a self-guided tour of various sites highlighting 16 regional institutions displaying treasures from their historic collections. Historians and archivists will be on hand to share the stories behind these treasures and the importance of the preservation of these items. At the Monterey Museum of Art stop, we will highlight selected items from the E. Charlton Fortune, William Ritschel, Morley Baer, and Wynn and Edna Bullock artist archives, as well as items from the Betty Hoag Mc Glynn Archives of California Art.

This is a free event, however registration is required to access sites and obtain a passport that will be stamped for entry at each location. Print on double-sided on legal size paper (8.5 x 14) in order to create the passport. Passports are also available at Colton Hall Museum in Monterey and the Jewell House in Pacific Grove.
