The Monterey Museum of Art will help you plan your next corporate or private event in Central California’s premier cultural organization. Surrounded by great works of art in two spectacular settings, our knowledgable and professional staff with assist you in creating the event of a lifetime.

      MMA Pacific Street




Located in the historic center of Old Monterey, this Spanish Colonial-style former courthouse features a central gallery with a dramatic vaulted ceiling, small and large conference rooms, and a sculpture garden.

      MMA La Mirada




During the Jazz Age, through World War II and for decades thereafter, La Mirada played host to the powerful and the famous. This gracious estate with its beautifully furnished rooms and stately gardens was the backdrop for the Monterey Peninsula’s most exquisite events. Now, you and your guests can experience the elegance and history of La Mirada for your event or meeting.

The Rose Garden features an exceptional display of roses overlooking Lake El Estero. Charming brick and stone walkways with a center courtyard make this space ideal for receptions, wedding ceremonies and brunch or lunch.

The Gouveneur Morris Guesthouse can accommodate up to twenty four people for a seated luncheon or dinner. It can also serve as the perfect bridal suite. Comprised of three intimate rooms with original frescos depicting Hollywood and the Jazz Age, the Guesthouse and adjacent courtyards may be combined to accommodate up to 100 people for a standing reception. These outside areas may also be tented (at an additional cost).

La Casa Castro Dining Room, with hand-painted murals depicting early Monterey history can accommodate fourteen for a seated dinner or luncheon.

The Drawing Room and Patio is an elegant salon and courtyard designed for entertaining on a grand scale. The Drawing Room can accommodate eighty for a seated dinner and 150 for a standing reception. The Drawing Room and Patio together can accommodate up to 150 for a seated dinner and 200 for a standing reception.

La Mirada’s Entry Courtyard is the perfect space for an overflow of guests, buffet tables, bars, gift tables and check-in for receptions.

The Courtyard Galleries & Gardens include three galleries; with the adjacent gardens and courtyards this area can accommodate 300 for an indoor/outdoor standing reception, or seating outdoors for 100. These outside areas may also be tented (at an additional cost). The Courtyard Galleries features the impressive Gottardo Piazzoni murals on loan from the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco.

The Conference Room offers meeting space for up to fifty and is accessible from the Drawing Room courtyard.  AV set up with pull down screen available with wifi. Hospitality service available for an additional fee.

The Entire Museum includes all of the above in addition to the exhibition galleries available for viewing, a docent-led tour for your guests and Museum security staff.

The Dart Wing may be opened for viewing exhibition galleries and Docent led tours are available upon request for an additional fee.
